Education is the backbone of development. Indeed, it is the very foundation based on which growth, advancement, progress and evolution are achieved. In order to be able to move forward, one must excel at a micro and a macro level. For this, one must be an accomplished individual as well as a productive part of a whole. To be able to contribute to the growth and development of society and nations, and subsequently to the overall development of the world, one must possess productive, effective and efficient skills. And skills must be accompanied by traits of understanding, enthusiasm, adaptation, awareness and diligence. And these personality traits as well as skills and techniques have to be learnt. While we are all born with some inherent qualities and characteristics, merely possessing them is not enough. One must hone the existing skills and also learn new ones. And for all these purposes and more, education becomes vital. To learn is to grow, and in order to learn, one must receive an all- round and holistic education. Education implies great roles and significance both of the student and the teacher. While the student is there to learn, the teacher carries the onus of imparting the knowledge. And it is rightly said that a good teacher can make all the difference in the world.
